From May through October, nocturnal thunderstorm activity
occurs over Perdido Bay, west of KNPA. This activity begins about 0300
local and reaches its maximum intensity shortly after sunrise. If there
is movement, the storm moves over land and begins to dissipate as soon
as it reaches landfall.
